The gallery is the home of Upfront Puppet Theatre and the workshops of artist, John Parkinson, who is the co-founder and owner of the gallery, along with his wife, Elaine.
The gallery presents a changing programme of exhibitions in four individual gallery spaces and a sculpture garden. It is the home of the “Upfront Cumbrian Artists Open” which takes place every January and February, exhibiting selected work from all over Cumbria.
Open Daily 10.30am to 4.30pm.
(Closed on a Monday unless a Bank Holiday)

January 1st to 18th.
Self-catering holiday accommodation is also available on site.
Access
Parking is possible directly outside the main entrance door of the gallery and level smooth access is available to all the main downstairs areas of the building. The mezzanine floor of the gallery is at present accessed by staircase only.
All of the main downstairs area of the gallery is on one level, including the gallery space used for the puppet theatre.
We have a specially adapted toilet and baby changing facility within the gallery.
